26WordPress sucks - but I still love it

Don’t get me wrong, I love WordPress, the guys over at Automatic are great. But seriously WordPress sucks, like really really sucks.
I’ve posted before about why wordpress needs an auto-update feature, which btw would be easy to do. I’m now moaning because Wordpress is really really crap at knowing things. See for a while now my blog has been telling me that my Wordpress version is out of date, and my plugins are out of date.
So I follow the instructions & download all new versions. I completely upgrade (which I hate doing btw because last time I did a full update, Transmit blew away my themes & I had to rebuild completely - grr).
Now Wordpress is STILL telling me I’m out of date & new versions of my plugins are available.
Get it right WORDPRESS, I have just installed your latest version & plugins - stop telling me LIES. Wordpress sucks, but I’ll keep using it - because really other than this minor issue, Wordpress really is the number 1 blogging/cms application on the market - and it’s FREE!
I do agree that WP can definitely be improved. I am looking forward to the new version 2.5 which promises to be faster and will have a redesigned admin panel.
I think WordPress has a bright future ahead and it will only get better over time.
